This is especially useful for recurring publication: an article can begin as a brief, become manuscript, move through review, and later remain part of a larger book project.

The useful questions are practical: Can the plan stay connected to the manuscript? Can stages exist without becoming chapters? Can you see upcoming and overdue work? Can article briefs and book planning coexist? Can a finished plan lead into preview, publishing package and export without another migration?
