Planning comes before generation
A book is more than a prompt. Ideas, notes, characters, plotlines, POV, structure and publication goals can exist before any AI request is made. In B-Maker, those planning layers remain first-class project data rather than temporary prompt context.
Use AI for questions, not just prose
AI can inspect structure, pacing, audience fit, genre expectations, story consistency and positioning. That is often more valuable than asking for another paragraph. Reports can be saved, compared with the current manuscript and turned into working notes.

When AI is asked to improve clarity, shorten, expand, proofread or improve dialogue, the output should not silently replace the current chapter. B-Maker can create a separate AI version and compare it with the original.
Choose model quality by the job
A quick mechanical revision and a whole-manuscript analysis are not the same request. B-Maker exposes model level and reasoning depth so cost, latency and quality can match the task instead of being hidden behind one generic AI button.
Keep external AI optional
The project can still be written, planned, revised, analyzed mechanically and exported without an external model. If AI is used, only explicitly requested text should be sent to the configured provider.
Use AI near publishing carefully
Audience analysis and positioning can help generate hypotheses for a publishing package, but they are not market research. AI-use declarations may also matter for submission requirements. The useful workflow keeps those decisions visible rather than hiding AI involvement.

Look for a complete non-AI writing workflow, explicit scope, saved analysis, separate revision versions, visible comparison, provider control, model settings, and a clear boundary between diagnosis, generation and publishing.
