On Sunday, suspecting nothing, I calmly prepared for the upcoming work week. Schrödinger's non-working week promised to go differently for everyone.
But I think everyone’s plans were unexpectedly disrupted by the evening general law on self-isolation and a ban on going out with huge fines. A couple of hours later, I looked out the window, expecting to see Russian National Guard trucks, but nothing like that - buses were driving along the street as usual and random passers-by were milling around.
Okay, I thought, probably tomorrow all intersections and the metro will be blocked, how can I get to work? Not all tasks were completed before the fateful order. On the other hand, I have confirmation that our organization can and should work during non-working weeks. The order, however, spoke about some passes, but where will they come from me at 9 o’clock in the evening?
Having firmly decided to make my way to work, I peacefully went to bed and set the alarm clock. In the morning, the first thing I did was look out the window - the picture was the same, no overlap. Confidence grew in me when two more people came out of the entrance with me, and on the way to the stop I saw groups of people. Out of the corner of my eye I noticed that children were also accepted into kindergarten.... Strange...
Having reached the metro, I calmly walked in and got into the carriage. There were people and cars on the way to work like it was Sunday morning. Leningradsky Prospekt and the highway were no less noisy than usual, periodically drowning out the interlocutor on the phone. I wonder if these people know about self-isolation?
At work, I did everything to be able to work from home, like a completely law-abiding citizen.
