A self-isolation regime has been introduced in a number of regions, within which the rights of citizens are not limited. However, there are a number of mandatory recommendations that citizens must follow. (Schrödinger's self-isolation?)
Waking up early in the morning, it suddenly dawned on me that I was in the future, because what is now happening in the world and in Moscow in particular, resembles scenes from science fiction films (Judge Dredd, 2012) and entertaining games like Sim City.
So, let’s imagine that the future has arrived and the rules of self-isolation have become commonplace for megacities:
Citizens are required not to leave their place of residence
You can leave your place of stay only in the following cases:
- seeking emergency medical care and other direct threat to life and health
- trips to work (if your organization continues to operate officially and offline)
- visiting a grocery store, bank, mobile phone store and convenience stores
- walking pets no further than 100 meters from the house
- taking out the trash
- if you have a pass
Naturally, in order to comply with these measures, a smart monitoring and control system must be deployed, allowing one to track and determine the movement of any citizen. Actually she is being developed.
Why do I believe this is the future? There are villages, who were born and raised on rafts and have never been on solid ground. If they can live in such conditions, then why can’t we also live in our cozy apartments?
Here is a suggested list of what we need to completely isolate ourselves in our skyscrapers of the future and not leave our places of residence unnecessarily:
- presence of a medical unit in the building, high-rise
- parks, entertainment venues in the tower (on the roofs)
- moving between towers using gangways or light rail
- faster communication channels
- transition of employers to full-time remote work
- presence of a garbage chute system with separate waste collection and possibly automatic recycling
- sewage and waste water treatment system
- automated/automatic delivery of goods, products and services

Citizens are required to maintain a distance of at least 1.5 meters from other citizens
Remember scenes from movies with space teleports, where creatures stand at a distance from each other, waiting to be scanned and teleported. It reminds me of the lines at ATMs and checkout lines at grocery stores before the holiday week, where people stood in marked lines.
This behavior teaches us to respect other people's personal space and behave in a civilized manner.
Business simply needs to take these factors into account so that when emerging from the crisis, the first thing to do is begin to rebuild its key business processes.
